Empower Memphis Project is a community-centered initiative designed to create pathways to economic opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and provide access to essential resources across Memphis.
We operate as an ecosystem of programs that address both immediate needs and long-term stability:
Blueprint Memphis – A workforce pathways program preparing young adults (17–26) for careers in construction, maintenance, and skilled trades
The G.A.P. Community Kitchen – In partnership with Old Salem Baptist Church, providing consistent access to meals while building trust and connection within the community
Lewis Street Community Clean Up – A neighborhood-focused initiative aimed at beautification, engagement, and restoring pride within local communities

The Need
In numerous Memphis communities, especially those historically underserved, vital support systems are crucial for promoting stability and economic advancement. Families face the realities of generational poverty, children require safe environments, job seekers demand robust workforce development, and older adults must access essential services. The G.A.P House will fill these gaps by offering comprehensive programs and services tailored to the community’s unique challenges.
