Growing Together.
Feeding Families.
Empowering Memphis.
We believe every person in Memphis deserves access to fresh food, real opportunity, and a community that shows up for them. The Empower Memphis Project was built on that belief and everything we do flows from it.
Support The KitchenWho We Are
We are neighbors helping neighbors build something better.
The Empower Memphis Project is a community driven initiative led by Fusion Community Empowerment. Our work is rooted in one simple idea: when people have access to food, opportunity, and support, entire communities begin to thrive.
We work inside the neighborhoods that have been overlooked the longest. We show up every week, not just for special occasions. And we believe that real change does not come from the outside in. It comes from people in the community standing up for each other and building something that lasts.
At the center of our work is The G.A.P. House, a revitalized community space in Memphis' East Buntyn neighborhood. G.A.P. stands for Growth, Access, and Power and that is exactly what we are here to provide for every person who walks through our doors.
The G.A.P. House Community Kitchen
Fresh food for anyone in Memphis. Every single Tuesday.
In Memphis, 1 in 6 people struggles with food insecurity. Not because food does not exist, but because too many barriers stand in the way. The G.A.P. House Community Kitchen is removing those barriers one Tuesday at a time.
Our doors are open to everyone in the city of Memphis. No paperwork. No income verification. No questions asked. You show up and we take care of the rest.
We are currently in the final stages of renovating The G.A.P. House and preparing to launch our weekly kitchen program. Every dollar donated right now goes directly toward making that happen. We are close and we need your help to get there.
